Are you one of those people that live day to day without a purpose? Not judging, just asking.

Do you just do what you are supposed to do yet still want more?

Most people just can’t see that there is something much deeper and more meaningful to their life.

We try to be the prettiest, fittest, sexiest we can be with the biggest television, a fancy house and cars.  We are always wanting more – it’s the human condition – but instead of looking at the exterior things, we would be wise to look inside ourselves for answers as to what life holds for us and what we want from it.

Look inside yourself with Meditation

Meditation can not only bring you closer to Source (or God if you pray rather than meditate) and provide “divine” inspiration about your purpose, but it also provides physical health benefits.

In tests, people who meditated for a minimum of two weeks showed:

  • reduced stress
  • stronger immune system,
  • better sleep,
  • a better
  • heart rate
  • and lower blood pressure.

In addition, test subjects also had a better mental capacity, with an improved memory and better test performances.

There are many scientific studies that show that beyond the physical and spiritual benefits of meditating/praying, there are measurable results as well.  In a test in France, a group of people prayed for external things, such as for a fungus not to grow.  The results showed that the fungus’ growth actually was retarded.

Adopt an Attitude of Gratitude

When you also add spiritual actions like forgiveness and gratitude, your mind becomes clearer and more open to growth and meditation.

Meditation is not an exclusively, spiritual Eastern tradition, like some people may think.  Going back to the earliest of times, it is a Christian and Jewish tradition as well.

Meditation has something to offer all beliefs.  There are numerous ways to make it fit YOU and YOUR LIFE. Instead of chanting Hindu mantras, you could simply choose to pray as you would in church, as a simple solo, communication between you and God.

Be Open to Possibilities

Ultimately, though, praying to God or the universe (such as via the Law of Attraction) needs to be an act of faith, without expectation of results. Don’t try and “trick” the Universe or “test” God, just open you mind, offer up your thoughts, prayers and requests and let the magic of the universe/spirit do its work.
